Neighborhood Stabilization Initiative
NHLP established its Neighborhood Stabilization Initiative to respond to the nation’s foreclosure crisis and its impact on low-income families and neighborhoods. Under this initiative, we are expanding our training, technical assistance, and policy development services in three areas: protecting tenants in foreclosed properties; using Neighborhood Stabilization Funds to create affordable housing opportunities; and using Neighborhood Stabilization Funds to maximize employment and economic opportunities under HUD’s Section 3 and related programs. More information is available under the Foreclosure Crisis in our Resource Center.
