Tools for California Advocates

NHLP and Western Center on Law and Poverty have developed documents that can be used to urge California redevelopment agencies to expend their Low and Moderate Income Housing funds and their NSP funds in a timely and thoughtful manner.

These documents include a sample letter to the redevelopment agency that urges it to leverage its LMI and NSP funds to expand the supply of affordable housing. Additionally, NHLP and WCLP have created a chart that identifies jurisdictions with significant LMI and NSP funds, as well as a chart that summarizes the affordability requirements of the LMI and NSP programs.
