We have a case where the owner has been terminated by the Housing Authority from the Section 8 program due to her non-compliance of HUD rules and regulations regarding landlord and tenant responsibilities. The tenant is in good standing with the Housing Authority and has not been terminated. The Housing Authority paid its last HAP payment this month. Tenant has been issued a Voucher to move, but is having difficulty finding an apartment. Does the tenant have any remedies or protections when her landlord is terminated from the Section 8 program. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
