One of our county's consolidated plan reflects the politics of the county comissioners. It places low and moderate homeowners at a priority higher than homelessness and those with special needs. There is no real analysis of the housing needs to support such a listing, nor is there any information in the housing needs data to support it either. We would like to hear from anyone who has ever considered filing an objection with HUD or has had any experience in doing so. Currently, we would be considering a two-prong objection: technical-- failed to consider all relevant data and a fair housing attack-- failed to provide for the disproportionate needs of the protected classes.
