List of Housing Authorities and Beginning FY Date

A list of the beginning dates of housing authorities' fiscal years is attached to this document. This list should help you determine when your PHA or PHAs will have to submit their annual plans to HUD. The plans are due 75 days before the fiscal years begin. The first PHAs that have to file annual plans are those with fiscal years beginning on January 1, 2000. Their plans must be submitted to HUD on October 15, 1999. PHAs with fiscal years beginning on April 1st will have to submit their plans by January 15, 2000. Those with fiscal years beginning on July 1st will have to submit their plans by April 15, 2000. Those with fiscal years beginning on October 1st will have to submit their plans by July 15, 2000.

The list is arranged by state and then within states by the date their fiscal years begin. Thus, all the PHAs within a particular state whose fiscal years begin on January 1st are grouped together. To find a particular PHA, search first for the state and then within the state for the name. The names may not be exactly identical to the ones the PHA uses. So just search for the name of the local city or county if you are having trouble. List produced by the National Housing Law Project.
