Housing and Welfare Intersection Information
The Legal Services Working Group on Housing/Welfare intersection Issues is composed of housing, welfare and employment advocates who contribute to the development of useful local strategies on a number of issues intersecting the three areas of the law. The group has developed the following background and strategy memoranda that may be of interest to housing advocates:
- Public Housing Agency Earnings Disregard Policies and Practices to Support Welfare Reform;
- Housing Agency Admissions Preferences and Welfare Reform;
- Retaining Federally Assisted Housing for Families That Have Lost Income Due to Welfare Sanctions and Time Limits.
