Education Video — Who's Waiting in Line for Public and Subsidized Housing?Through the voices of people forced to wait in these lines, the video, "End of the Line," describes what they must go through even to get an application so that they can get their name on a waiting list. The video makes visible what is invisible to most Americans, and calls people to action. "End of the Line" is already stimulating dialogue among those fighting for decent and affordable housing and those who have the power to influence the political process. The video and a companion action guide with reproducible fact sheets
are available at no cost to public housing residents who plan to use it
to organize. Lawyers and other advocates and organizers may order the video
and guide for $5.00 to help defray copying and mailing costs. Orders should
be directed, and checks made payable, to the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute.
For information and orders, contact Gale Halpern, Massachusetts Law Reform
Institute, 99 Chauncy Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02111, Tel. (617) 357-0700,
